Muy buenas,
Me uno a esto del blogging ya que está
tanto de moda y aprovecho éste tema, la moda, para empezar a escribir de
algo que, probablemente a muchos de vosotros os suene de algo, ya sea
por experiencia propia o por algún conocido.
He decidido que iré
alterando e iré escribiendo el blogg en Castellano y en Inglés para
aquellos, que ya sea por estar a la moda o por necesidad no les venga
mal aprender o mejorar "el spaniglish" asi que alla voy!
I
remember when escaping your country to live abroad was crazy and cool,
all your friends had this look at you, thinking that you are this kind
of crazy creature from another planet unable to appreciate the the
wonderful and sunny country with tons of party and amazing gastronomy,
this kind of person, immature, that didn´t want to follow the
stereotypes of finishing university, continue with your boyfriend, buy a
house, get married and be happy with a minimum salary job without any
possibility of grow.
Well, in the end you decide to pass on all
those comments, and finally leave! and what 10 years ago was craziness,
now is fashionable and cool. Now you realize that even if seems that you
left a couple of years ago, has been many more, precisely 12, and that
you had build your life already far from your home country, far from
your family and your old friends, you realize that you had lived so
much, meet so many interesting people in your way, some of them you
never heard about it again, some others became so part of you that you
wont be able to live without them anymore. You learn how to love in the
distance, how to pass all the difficulties alone and pretend that you
can handle and do everything, learn how to forbid yourself from bad
decisions also to don't allow yourself to be vulnerable or sad and
everytime you feel that way you bring up the other personality and
continue kicking ass!
One of the biggest lessons that I´ve
learned, is to appreciate friendship and that friendship is not a
synonym of being together and drink beers and have fun, friends that you
have in a distance might mean more and support you more that others
that are in a daily basis with you, that the only thing that the
distance made to that friendship is to make it stronger!
Being
abroad, also surprises you, missing all this kind of simple stuffs that
you are dying to eat or drink but being in your country living you will
never eat it or drink it because you didn't appreciate it , you´re also
surprised by watching those stupid and kitsch TV programs that you will
refuse to watch and still, you deny now that you are actually enjoy and
have fun with.
So, yes... being abroad makes you understand and
see with a clear and an "objective" view everything that your home
country is doing wrong, all the bastard politicians that in charge of
the land making the country look like a 3rd world country, but also
makes you appreciate those little things that any other country in the
world has and never will. Love my country! Love my people!
